Dance

I will refuse to dance...
to the pressure
to be or to do.
or to prove something.
In order to win someone's love.
Or acceptance.

I am not a slave to the opinions of others.

My Daddy

Well today is my old mans birthday. (he's not old). So i thought in honor of my dad I'd try to say a few nice words! :)

My Daddy!
He raised me to serve the Lord
He was there when I accepted Christ as my savior
He baptized me.
He has supported me and stood by me in everything.
He has loved me unconditionally.
He has given me his temper! :)
He has shown me the right path to go down.
He has encouraged me when times get rough.
He has shown me what a TRUE man of God looks like.
He taught me to LOVE baseball
He taught me to look at life and embrace it.
He loved me, even when I messed up.
He shows grace.
He made me realize how important a sense of humor is.
He shows me how a man should love his wife and children
He has taught me what it is like to step out on faith and faith alone.

Those are just a few things my dad is to me. He is an amazing guy. He serves the Lord with his life. He taught me how to step out on complete faith and know that God will provide. I have seen him go through hardships and overcome them. I have gotten the chance to serve with him overseas and in the church we started. I have seen him put hours upon hours to serve others. He has been a rock in my life.

My senior year in High School, I caused an accident and knew that I had to make that phone call. Well in any normal situation I would have gone to mom and then she could be a buffer to dad, but I knew I had to go straight to him. So I called him up and the tone in his voice was of pure love. He wanted to make sure I was okay.....He showed grace and love in that situation........granted I did get a good talking to later, but his first reaction wasn't anger but love.

Freshman year in college I just finished my first semester and home for the Christmas break, and guess what? I made a giant F in algebra (daddy teaches Algebra) I knew I was in some serious trouble.... I was just waiting for the "talk" but instead you know what I got? I got a delicious steak meal with my daddy. Just he and I, and we got to talk about it, and came up with a decision for me to take it the upcoming summer where he could help me pass it. No lecture but pure grace.

I write all this because my dad has shown me amazing love and support over my 20 years of living. He has been a dad that i don't know what I'd do without. So daddy, thank you for all you do.

"Finish Strong"
"Start Strong"
"It feels like we're in another country"
"Come and listen to a story ‘bout a man name Jed, Poor Marylander, barely kept his family fed. Then one day he was shooting at some food, And up through the ground came a bubblin’ crude.

(Oil that is, black gold, Texas tea.)

Well the first thing you know old Jed’s a millionaire.

Kinfolk said, “Jed, move away from there.”

My life so far this semester

Life this semester

Hey guys! Just thought I'd give an update on my semester.

Can we say busy?!? Lol but I love it. I think the only time I take a break is to sleep.
I am still carrying a 4.0 this semester!!

I work at Happy Trails Outdoor Goods and More!! (let me just say retail therapy I'd great but working retail is not my fav but it pays the bills and I enjoy the job because it's different than most retail)

I got involved in a WONDERFUL church. I am working with the preschool and the college international ministry. Love it, but my favorite part about the new church is my friends!! Can I say answered prayers?! Everyone of them are a huge blessing in my life!! Especially the 606 group. Lol

I'm in the process of moving out of the dorms and into an apartment!! I'm super pumped. I'm moving in with two awesome girls (Hannah and Isabelle)!

I am still single :( I know it's God's timing but it hit me the other day...I'm getting older and MY plan may not be reality. It makes me sad to think about it but I try to keep positive. I'm ready for a man go step up for once.

I have really connected with myself this semester. I know this might sound bad, but I'd much rather wear t-shirt and shorts just because I'm more comfy. (maybe that's why I'm single still lol)

I think of Peru all the time..... Gosh I wanna go back.

I haven't gone home yet..... Not till October 7th. Gosh longest time ever without seeing my family but with my busy schedule I don't have much time to be homesick.

So that's my life in a nutshell!! :)

The Ballpark....

So if you don't know, I'm in love with baseball. I find it one of the best sports on the planet earth. Granted I'm not great at catching-throwing and don't even ask me to hit a ball, but the game itself is a passion of mine. I follow the Texas Rangers in the summer pretty much religiously (i even follow the players on twitter) When they cry I cry. When they celebrate I celebrate. I don't think my family and I have missed many games this season. If we aren't at the ballpark we have FoxSports Southwest on or on Fridays it's on 21. I think we've been about ten times this summer to the ballpark and here is what I have learned and grown to love about the place of the Texas Rangers.

You walk in to families, couples, groups, number 1 fans.... you see red and blue and white all around you. The smell of hot dogs/ garlic fries/ nachos/ ice cold beer surround you. You hear the music and you hear the people talking about the boys as if they were best friends with them. You get to your seat (it doesn't matter where you sit) and the crowd is ready.

First Pitch. Nail bitter to start the game. First strike out the fans go wild. You have the home run race/steal a base/dot race/all the clapping songs to get the fans into the game. OH Wait what's that, yeah Nelson Cruz homered to center field......BOOM fireworks......Crowd goes crazy!!!

So I'm sure you're like Ashlee....REALLY? Well here is what I have learned with my many trips to the ballpark.

1. Everybody is welcomed, but if you're wearing the wrong team. Peace out sucka!

2. The game is high energy all the time

3. Even when we lose a game, the Ranger fans stay though it all.

4. The fans sing with all the songs they play.

5. It is the only place I will dance, and not get embarrassed.

6. It's where every boy dreams to be playing one day.

7. It's where daddy's take their daughters and sons

8. It's where when we win a game, you wait to watch the boys celebrate it.

9. You know the beer man by name

10. When asked for a moment of silence for our fallen soldiers, you could hear a pin drop with the pure respect of 40 thousand or so fans.

11. Everybody working is full of energy, even in 105 degree weather.

12. Fans scream for their favorite player like they've known them all their lives.

13. You leave the ballpark with new friends.

14. When singing God Bless America, the whole crowd sings along

15. President George W. Bush cheers on the Rangers and when his face shows up on the jumbo tron, the crowd goes wild.

16. When honoring veterans of wars, the crowd doesn't hesitate to get on its feet to thank the men and women serving for our freedom.

17. Where Josh Hamilton tells his testimony.

18. When they win a big game and you look around at people crying because they are so happy.

19. Everybody dances to the Cotton Eye Joe and does a little jig during the 7th inning.

20. Everybody knows if the Rangers score a run in the ____th inning everybody gets a free taco from ____ ____. lol

21. If the Rangers score 7 runs you get half off your order at _____ _____.

22. It's not the Home team but the RANGERS while singing "take me out to the ballgame"

23. Where you can find some pretty attractive men, but they aren't there for the women they're there for the game.

24. You cheer for your specific DOT during the dot race and you know there is no wagering allowed.

25. And lastly it's a place where you go to watch a team that loves what they are doing.

Now i could be wrong but the Texas Rangers, in my opinion, have some pretty awesome fans and your experience at the ballpark will not be forgotten. It's a very special place to my heart and every time i walk through the gates all I can do is smile! :)

p.s the answers to the blanks are.......5th and taco bueno and papa johns! lol

1+1=2, ABC,

I have known since I was 5 years old, that I wanted to be a teacher. Nobody and nothing has ever changed my mind, but I am sick of negativity coming from teachers. It is one of the most heart breaking things I can read/listen to. So guess what? Since you are reading this, I'm gonna let you know what a teacher SHOULD be.

1) Teaching should never be a burden.
2) Teaching isn't a job you do because you get summers off.
3) Teaching is creating doctors/lawyers/firemen/ministers/teachers/etc.
4) If for some reason you don't enjoy where you teach.....LEAVE...you aren't helping the children out, if anything you are hurting them.
5) A teacher knows you will have great bosses and terrible ones........DEAL WITH IT. Teach the kids and do your job.
6) A teacher is a role model. She/he doesn't disobey rules just to make a point, if anything they show dignity and maturity.
7) A teacher doesn't complain about her/his students but encourage them and love their students (even the pain in the butts)
8) A teacher sees the best out of a student and helps them reach their full potential.
9) A teacher doesn't deliberately talk crap about where they work/who they work with/who they teach in public.
10) A teacher sees the new year as excitement and is READY to go back.
11) A teacher doesn't complain about having to work yet does it with a willing heart.
12) A teacher loves their students as if they were their own children.

To teach isn't a job you choose, but a job that chooses you. It makes me sad to see teachers who really don't love their job. They do it because they get summers off and because it's an "easy" job. If you are a teacher and unhappy with your job, then go find another one. There is no reason your students past, present, or future should suffer because of your bad attitude. You have been given the opportunity to love children, who might NEVER get loved, to teach children who want to learn, and to be a role model for children who desperately need one.

Now you can talk crap about the school system, your principal, your school board, your coworkers, but let me tell you something. All those things, yes they place rules and regulations on you, but your main job is those children that walk into your classroom everyday. YOU do the job to the best of your ability. Will there be stuff that isn't fair? YES. Will there be obstacles? YES........... GET OVER THEM! LOVE THOSE CHILDREN!!!

So with all that said, teachers please love your children. Teachers are the basic stepping stone for everything else. In America students have to go to school, so why not make the most out of it when they are there. It starts with us, the teachers, to step up and show the students that school isn't a waste of time. It's OUR job. the TEACHERS job.

No other country is like ours, where it is mandatory for school. We give it for free. We give it so that those children will have a better life, but if we sit there with bitter attitudes, hate for our jobs, and no drive to make those kids better, then we have FAILED! Don't fail, ACHIEVE! Show those kids you care.

30's and 40's love!!!

Hopeless romantic, fairy tale endings, love at first sight, happily ever after.....

That's me! And it's been BAD lately. Lol. If my mind isn't on Peru it's on my future man, granted don't have a clue who he is, but he's on my mind. I think it started in Peru because I want to serve with him for Jesus. Then the 4th of July (fireworks always remind me of couples), then at six flags (all the daddy's with their kids). So just a lot of thoughts lol. But through them all I realized one thing. This waiting game is gonna be worth it. So any person out there who is a little discouraged about your future sweetheart, stay positive! It'll be worth the wait! But let me tell you something, when he comes into my life these are the first songs we will dance to! :) y'all have a great day.

P.S. I have a huge love for the 30's and 40's!!!

Mission Trip to Peru!

Hey guys! So we got home from Peru a couple days ago. I don’t even know if I can begin to explain the excitement and awesomeness of the trip! God did work, and he did a lot of it. So I really don’t know where to start, so here’s how we’re gonna do this blog… I wrote a note on facebook, so I’m gonna put that on here, and at the end I’ll put what God did through my life! K?

A day by day report!
Tuesday, June 21st: We started at 2:50 in the morning and headed to the airport. We had a stressful morning trying to get everyone on the plane, but it all worked out. We left and got to Florida where we went on a boat tour and hung out for a little while. The college kids got in a taxi where the taxi driver was watching a YouTube video on his iphone, texting on another, making a call, going 80mph, and making a drug deal all at the same time! lol. WOW!!! We finally got to Lima around 10:30 and made it to the hotel. We crashed and got an okay nights sleep in.
Wednesday, June 22nd: Woke up early and had a yummy breakfast, then loaded on a bus and stayed on that for 9 hours!!! We got to Trujillo that night and we visited with Noelia's family for a bit then headed to the camp and spent the night.
Thursday, June 23rd: WORK WORK WORK! Let the work begin, we started by painting the inside of la mana building and then after lunch the college kids went to the other side of camp and sanded the whole building. Holy moly we were sore after that day. We had dinner, went to the bodega, and then had a bible study that night.
Friday, June 24th: STAIN STAIN STAIN! We stained and stained and others painted and painted. We only worked in the morning, but we accomplished a lot that day. That afternoon we headed to the orphanage that is about 15 minutes from the camp! Those kids were amazing. There was one little girl from last year I really wanted to see again, and as soon as i got to the orphanage I searched and searched, when I finally found her, she remembered me. Blanca and I hung out the remainder of the time we got to be there with them. After the orphanage we hiked up to a look out and got to see God's beauty around the area. There is just something amazing about walking around a small village in Peru, that just makes you smile from ear to ear!!! We had dinner, went to the bodega, and had bible study
Saturday, June 25th: Work work till the sun goes down. We worked really hard that day. We were determined to finish almost everything, so we could leave touch up stuff for Sunday. We got the inside and outside stained and painted on the convention center. We got a lot done! We ate dinner, went to the bodega (it was a every day event) and then had bible study.
Sunday, June 26th: BEST DAY EVER!! we went to church and it was an amazing service! Dad preached and Noelia translated. To see people worship in another country really rocks your world. Then we finished up and cleaned up the job site. We showered afterwards and then headed to Shiran to hang out with the people. We started with just playing with a few little kids, and before we knew it we had about 20 kids in the center of town and a crowd watching us from around. We played duck duck goose and a Peruvian game with them. When we left they all gave us lil kisses and it was so much fun just to love on the local kiddos. After we played we had dinner, and on our way to the bodega we heard the church having another service so we snuck in and worshiped with them again. Then we had bible study and packed everything up.
Monday, June 27th: We loaded up and told Noelia's family good-bye (or CHOW) then we got on the bus for another 9 hours on our way back to Lima. That ride was rough and we were not feeling too hot by the time the bus stopped. We got back to the hotel and slept for a few hours.
Tuesday, June 28th: wake up at the crack of dawn and head to the airport. We got there ate a quick breakfast and boarded our flight to Cusco. When we arrived in Cusco we did a little shopping and walked around the main plaza. We got our first experience with haggling, and boy was that fun.......NOT! We got a lot of awesome stuff though. We went to bed pretty early because we knew that the next couple days were going to be very chaotic.
Wednesday, June 29th: Machu Picchu. We bussed to a train then to a bus and hiked Machu Picchu! All i can say is God is an amazing amazing God. It was so beautiful. Pictures don't do it justice. It was a once in a lifetime experience, and I am so glad I got to do it with some amazing friends and family. After we went through Machu Picchu we bussed to the train and then to the bus back to the hotel.
Thursday, June 30th: ONE SAD SAD SAD DAY!!! We left Cusco and flew back to Lima. Noelia's parents picked us up and we went and toured Lima. We got to see the traditional ceremony of the guard changes at the Presidents house. That was pretty sweet! Then we had lunch where I had a beef heart, a little bit of guinea pig, and octopus. YUMMY! (well except for the octopus) After lunch we did some last minute shopping and then headed to the airport to head back to the U.S. of A! We stayed on a plane forever and a day, and got back this morning (July 1st) around 10.

What God Did!
1. So what did God do? Well to start he broke my heart in a million pieces. As soon as I walked out of the airport into Peruvian air, my heart began to break; not that it wasn’t already broken, but you forget what it’s like (especially living in America). He made me realize how blessed and lucky I have it. He taught me how to love in a whole new way.

2. He gave me a mission field. I know that when I’m here in the U.S my mission field is the classroom and preschool ministry. I know that, but I knew there was more, but couldn’t figure it out. Well I got my wake up call. Children of Peru! I am still not sure what I am gonna do or to what extent my involvement will be, but I know I am called to work with the children in Peru. The days we got to play with kids were the happiest days of my life. We played and laughed together, only understanding a little bit of what the other was saying, but it was perfect. When we left I got so many little kisses and hugs, and I was fighting back tears. Those children deserve to see love, a love from God.

3. He also did something I wasn’t expecting. He laid on my heart some stuff about my future man. I have always wanted and known I am called into the ministry, but then it hit me on the trip… I want a man who is going to serve with me. Who will be right by my side and us serving together, I think I’ve always had that in mind, but it wasn’t my mindset. I want it to be a team effort. He also is preparing my heart for the guy to show up and wow me. I’m stubborn, a hot head, and very independent. He showed me on the trip that I can’t do it all, I am going to have to be a bit dependent because I can’t do life alone. Let me clarify I am dependent on God, but when it comes to others, especially guys, I am a very independent girl!

So those are a few things God did through me and I know he worked through our team. He created new relationships, new experiences, new conversations, and he made us all extremely close. The college kids and I became very close, and we got to have some awesome relationships with the high school girls that went! I know that God is still working on us, for me I know for sure. I still try to speak Spanish when I go out, or pay in sols. Being home is breaking my heart, because half (if not more) Americans don’t realize how good we have it. Even the poorest American has it better than most Peruvians. So if you wouldn’t mind, saying a prayer for my friends in Peru, God is surely at work there and there is so much to be done! Thanks for all your prayers and support! Love yall! 

My Life as a Disney Movie

Hey everybody! Instead of posting about baseball, I'm gonna spice it up. My mom, sister, and I just got done watching Tangled, and my first thought was BLOG TIME!!

So below are quite a few movie clips of my favorite Disney princess movies. All of them are about LOVE! Since I was little, I have always wanted a fairy tale ending. I hold out for it, because it's been a dream I have had for as long as I remember. I always blame Disney for making me a hopeless romantic! Holding out for my fairy tale, but when I think about it, I seriously believe that I will get my fairy tale. I will know my prince, when he shows up. I think every little girl should have a prince charming. He might not be dressed in armor. My prince isn't. My ideal prince is a man who wants to serve with me in the ministry, loves kids, is my best friend, and a few other main points. (my list is very long lol) but I know that my prince is out there, and I will have my fairy tale ending. So girls out there, don't settle. You deserve the very best and only that! :)

Enjoy these clips, they're my favorite!! :) (i even cry a little when i watch them) ((yes i am a hopeless romantic, living through animated characters!))

My Baseball Life

WEDDING::
I want my wedding to be simple and elegant, but the reception PLAY BALL! I am thinking center pieces like the picture above! I'm thinking reds and blues. I'm thinking hot dogs, goobers, garlic fries, beer, soda, and sun flower seeds!!

HOUSE::
In my house I will have a room where it is baseball central. It will be where me and the hubs (hopefully) will watch our sport. One wall be blue and red with the Texas Rangers logo, now if for some reason he likes another team, we will do the adjacent wall in his team (except the yankees, no yankee stuff will enter my house). The room will be classy, and will have leather sofas, a bar where you can get goobers, hot dogs, and soda. The main room will be a family room, but it will mainly be where we watch the greatest sport known to man!

PETS::
So i want a lab, and i want to name him/her Ranger. Then i want a small doggy named either Texas, or if my hubs has a different team name we'll call the small dog that name. For example Jay (TAMPA), Royal (KC), SOX (Boston), Astro (Texas)...okay you get the picture? anything but yankee!!

CHILDREN::
I think it would be awesome to name my children after pro baseball players. I have accumulated a list of player that could work for girl and boy names.
GIRLS::
-Kirby Puckett --- Kirby
-Pete Rose ---- Rose
-Nolan Ryan --- Ryan

BOYS::
-Jimmy Collins --- Collins
-Roger Connor --- Connor
-Tris Speaker --- Tris

Family Vacations::
Since i'm gonna be a teacher and a stay at home momma, I think it would be fun that if one summer we take our kids to all the major league ball parks, and have a summer full of baseball!! :)

okay in all reality this is my fantasy! A girl can dream right?!

Best Weekend EVER!

So this summer has been pretty dull. I went 21 days without seeing my friends. 21 days without hanging out with people my age. I was pretty bummed and bored lol. I mean don't get me wrong, I enjoyed my family and being able to have quality time with them, but i missed people my own age, my friends, and my brothers and sisters in Christ. SOOOO this past Saturday I got a full day of hanging out with them!

Here are some High Points::
-Kimberly and I have been friends since elementary school, and who would have thought I would be friends with her again in college. When she got to the house we stayed up till 2:15 laughing and talking about everything and anything
-We started off meeting in Arlington. Chisom and Donald got lost for 48 minutes while Kim and I tried to give them directions....EPIC FAIL! lol
-Evan came and screamed at every little bug that came his way lol
-Then Peter showed up! He drove like 2 and a half hours (crazy man)
-Then we went to a gas station, which was an event in itself, and the boys decided they didn't wanna pay parking at the ballpark, so they were gonna risk it and leave their cars at wal-mart.
-Got to the ballpark like 2 hours before the game started and spent most the time waiting for Evan to finish shopping lol.
-Watched an awesome game, 5 home-runs in ONE game! Heck Yes!
-Said our good-byes and Peter prayed for us before we traveled back to our homes. (loved the prayer hated the goodbyes)
-Sunday was awesome as well. Church was fabulous, daddy preached an awesome sermon.
-Kim left around 2 (that wasn't a good part)
-Played a family game of volleyball.
-and ended the night with just great quality family time

So why do i tell you all this? I tell you this because God answers prayers and he does them big! I needed time with my friends desperately, and although the boys are a bit rambunctious, it was just what I needed. The funny part is that I wouldn't have known any of these people if it wasn't for stepping out of my comfort zone and going with Kim to a bible study. These are the lovely people I talked about the post below this one! So this weekend had lots of laughs, good talks, and just being around people my age who live to serve God with all their lives. It was exactly what i needed, and God provided. Now I am looking forward to seeing all their bright faces again! Might have to wait another 18 days, but I think I can do it! :)

Answered Prayers and Home for the Summer

How I Met Your Mother/Friends/Thats So Raven/YaYa Sistrhood/Cheers/Big Bang Theory/Jersey Shore/Desperate Housewives/MASH/ect...

All these shows have one thing in common....friends, and not just one friend but groups of friends. Over the past two years of college I've had a friend here a couple here, but not a group. So i have been praying for God to put a group of friends in my life that would help build me up in the Lord and keep me accountable. Well Fall semester of my sophomore year, I had a group of friends, but it wasn't what I needed. So anyways here's the story...

Well... if you would have asked me a few weeks before school got out, i would tell you "heck yes I'm ready to be home". Then the week till i leave to come home, I meet a group of amazing people. I went to a "small group" where i knew a few people, but nobody very well. I had started to get to know them a little better. As soon as I walked in, I was treated soooo well and just taken right in. This was on a Wednesday and I moved home on a Friday.... God was working because now I wasn't ready to go home...

SIDE NOTE:: In fact I moved home that Friday, and the following Sunday I drove to Tarleton to see a few of them. We have plans to hang out and chill over the summer, and I'm even going to Peru with a couple of them. I think it is so funny how God just rocks my world when I have just hit a point of total confusion.

...now I am really looking forward to going back and having that group I have been praying for. I believe God put them in my life at the last minute because now that I am home, i had the option to be who i was last summer (which wasn't what i needed) or just hang with my family, talk to people from school, get deep with Jesus, and just relax till school starts. So yes it will be a lonely summer but it will be a very rewarding summer! I'm going to enjoy all the family time, the few times i get to see people from school, and growing my relationship with Christ! :)

~So to all those lovely people! Thank you for being an answered prayer!!~

My Testimony

I wanted to do something a little different tonight, so you didn't have to read my boring stuff, instead you got to listen lol! I would have never made it to where I am if it wasn't for my family. My dad, mom, and sister are my biggest rock besides God. I'm no where near perfect but my Heavenly father loves me no matter what, and he is constantly growing me everyday! I couldn't even imagine my life without God! :) I also attached one of my new favorite songs! Enjoy! :)

I blame my parents

So you see, I'm single, and have been since high school. I haven't been "in a relationship" since then. Honestly, that's okay with me I know God has great plans for me and my Mr. Right, but last night it hit me! I know why I am single! It's because of my parents!!

I am a very girly girl. I think my room has every shade of pink in it, i love Mani's and Pedi's, I love make-up, and shopping. However; as much as I love that I think my parents have warped me. Here's how

First: I LOVE power tools. Daddy taught me how to use an nail gun, electric sander, all different kind of saws, and other things. I love doing that. I'm also never afraid to get dirty, if there is a job to be done, I'll get it done. I've roofed houses, sanded doors, fixed things that needed fixin. I am not afraid of a little dirt!

Second: My mom was never a fufu queen and loved/loves sports. Although I didn't play them very long, I LOVE sports. I love watching them. I was voted most spirited in High School.

Third: Baseball is in my blood, I know this goes with sports, but I find baseball as a basic necessity in life. When a game is on, my phone is usually blown up by guys, not because they like me but because we are talking baseball! lol. I personally find a date to the ballpark more romantic than a date to a fancy restaurant.

Fourth: I was not raised up to be all mushy gushy. I am a very straight forward girl, I am not mushy gushy by any means, and it takes a lot for me to. Neither of my parents are mushy gushy, so I in return am not.

Fifth: I was raised to be independent and not to rely on a man. I learned to do things myself. If a need a 2x4 cut, I'll go cut it. If the the toilet is broken I fix it. I know how to do most "man jobs". If the the lawn needs to be mowed, I can mow it. If daddy needs someone to help chop down a tree, I'm there. I get the job done, and don't rely on men to do it for me. That's how my parents raised me.

So since I'm not a normal girl, i blame my parents for me being single, it only makes sense right ;) Just so you know I'm totally kidding. I know I'm single because it's not my time yet, and I really don't blame my parents. I love them for raising me like they did, and I can't thank them enough. I was raised to fear the Lord, take care of myself, and eat, sleep, and breath baseball!! lol. :) Thanks Daddy and Momma for raising me right! I love yall!!

Te echo de menos

Hola. Me caigo rápidamente, y me espanto.

I am not sure if my spanish is correct, but it had to be done in spanish.

My Favorite Baseball Quotes

~ What does a mama bear on the pill have in common with the World Series? No cubs. ~Harry Caray

~ What is both surprising and delightful is that spectators are allowed, and even expected, to join in the vocal part of the game.... There is no reason why the field should not try to put the batsman off his stroke at the critical moment by neatly timed disparagement's of his wife's fidelity and his mother's respectability. ~George Bernard Shaw

~ A Rangers fan, a Yankees fan & a Red Sox fan are climbing a mountain & arguing about who loves his team more. The Red Sox fan insists he is the most loyal. "This is for the Sox!", he yells, & jumps off the mountain. Not to be outdone, the Rangers fan is next to profess his love for his team. He yells "This is for Texas!" & pushes the Yankee fan off the mountain.

~ Baseball is reassuring. It makes me feel as if the world is not going to blow up. ~Sharon Olds, This Sporting Life, 1987

Who is Ashlee?

This is my personal blog and something I have just to talk about life!

So who is Ashlee?? Well let me tell you who Ashlee is!

-A daughter of Christ.
-A servant of Christ.
-A future teacher
-A baseball fanatic (espcially my Texas Rangers)
-A preschool teacher in the church
-A singer
-A student
-A helper
-A hopeless romatic
-A missionary

I'm a lot more but thats just a starter list. You see I am a very complex person. I love Jesus and live on Earth to serve him, but I am don't speak the "christian lingo". I serve in a church, at school and at home, that serves unchurched people! I get to teach sweet preschool kids, and it completes my life. I cannot wait to become a teacher. I want to teach 2nd grade but will teach wherever I am needed. I also have a huge heart for people in Peru and Africa! I've been to Peru and am going back this coming summer, but haven't been to Africa yet...it will happen! I love baseball! Seriously it's one of my favorite things ever!! I am a diehard Texas Rangers fan! :) My family and I are super duper close, and I miss them terribly when I am at school. I am very OCD and I have some pretty intense morals, just the way i was raised. I love school! I am a very girly girl, but not afraid to get dirty. Pink is my favorite color and that could be an understatement! I have some amazing friends and they have been there for me through a lot!

So anyways thats my life summed up pretty much! Keep a look out for more posts! I have a feeling this blog will be random! ;)
